3Scan is digitizing pathology with robotic, knife-edge microscopes that process thousands of slices per hour.
3Scan is building digital microscopy tools and software for large-scale tissue analysis. Using its patented “Knife Edge Scanning Microscope” (KESM), 3Scan brings together elements of machine vision, automated serial sectioning, micromachining, and advanced optics to enable pathologists to image tissue 300 times faster at a fraction of the cost of current methods. Additionally, by digitizing the microscopy workflow, 3Scan effectively removes variability and human error from tissue pathology.
