Biography

Adam leads investor relations and business development for Lux. He is responsible for establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with our investors that are based on transparency and trust. He is also a valuable advisor and super-connector for our companies, helping them find new ways to increase revenue and raise capital through high-value introductions and partnerships.

Prior to joining Lux, Adam served as a Director at Everest Capital, a leading multi-strategy, opportunistic hedge fund with several billion in assets. Prior to Everest, he worked at Quellos Capital Management (acquired by BlackRock (NYSE: BLK)), a multi-billion dollar alternative investment firm. He also worked at DreamWorks SKG in Los Angeles, where he reported directly to the President of the Studio.

Adam graduated from the University of Miami with dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Communications and Economics. He also studied Finance and Economics at the University of Westminster in London, England. He has lectured at Johns Hopkins University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of Pennsylvania.

Adam was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the World’s largest science festival, the USA Science and Engineering Festival. He served on the Communications Committee for The Prostate Cancer Foundation and is a supporter of Make-A-Wish Foundation and Melanoma Research Alliance.

What is the most exciting innovation of the past decade?
Surgical robotics.

What are you most looking forward to in the future?
Immersive, in-home entertainment with 360-degree holographic television.

What living person has had the greatest impact on science and technology?
Bill Gates. He put a computer in every home and on every desk; now he’s working to eradicate diseases worldwide.

What was your first paying job?
The mailroom at The William Morris Agency. Steven Spielberg came in one day. I waited by the elevator for two hours to convince him to hire me. I wrote him a letter every month for two years and eventually got a job as a production assistant. If you want something, don’t just talk about it. Take a risk and do it.
