Scott has spent his career at the intersection of art and science, a natural fit at a firm that believes scientists, technologists, and inventors will create the future from the seemingly impossible. At Lux, Scott led brand and marketing efforts for thefirm; asa Venture Partner, he will provide strategic counsel to Lux’s portfolio companies to help them promote and protect their public profiles.Scott brings rare breadth to communications, having operated at the highest levels of both tech and venture. He was a partner at Andreessen Horowitz focused on PR and marketing, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Tanium, and led brand and communications at Atlassian. Before venture capital, he served as global head of corporate communications at Google, following roles spanning EMEA communications, public policy, and platform content issues across Google and YouTube.Scott earned his AB in Literature at Harvard University and his MA from The Writing Seminars in Fiction at Johns Hopkins University.
