Backing founders in AI, aerospace and defense, compute, biotech, and industrials takes more than a first term sheet. It means having the conviction to stay through the full arc of company building, and being valuable from inception through exit. Doing that well takes the resources and a team with real range, including investors who can source and diligence the right thesis or founder, and a capital formation team that partners closely with global LPs across funds. Which is why we’re delighted to announce that Sarah Hess and Mia Krishnamurthy are joining our investment team, and Mahi Joshi is joining our capital formation team, as partners. 

Before joining Lux, Sarah was a defense investor at Point72 Ventures and helped launch the NATO Innovation Fund, a venture capital fund modeled after In-Q-Tel. She previously worked at the CIA on U.S.-China technology competition and began her career at Apple. She's a graduate of Stanford University.

Mia was previously an investor at CRV, where she supported the firm's early-stage investing across more than ten portfolio companies. She started her career on General Atlantic’s technology investment team and was part of Dorm Room Fund at Cornell University where she got a BA in sociology and played on the varsity squash team. 

Mahi began her career at Evercore, where she worked on the GP advisory team within the Private Funds Group, advising managers across buyout, growth, infrastructure, and credit from launch through close. She graduated from Rutgers Business School with a double major in Finance and Business Analytics & Information Technology.
